No Low Speed Wipers

Just collected a nice clean 2.3 Auto Ghia Estate with a couple of little problems:
1) Wiper only work on high speed
2) Sunroof doesn't operate (though you can hear the motor - stripped gears)
Where do I start with 1 above, is there a relay which activates ?
Are there any ways of getting hold of the motor drive gears for 2.

The two speed action is controlled in the wiper motor,therefore if your switch is outputting OK it is most likely the problem is in the motor.
The sunroof jams through lack of use and rips the nylon spline or possibly plastic gears out.If you post on 'parts wanted' or visit a breakers you should be lucky,it is not a very technical job to change them over,but free the sliders off first.
