Car Smells of Petrol on a full Tank

The tanks eventually corrode through,particularly around the filler neck which is behind the roadwheel and is subjected to mud despite the wheelarch liner.

Yup - mine's doing the same - if it's more that half full it smells and you can see it weeping petrol near the filler inlet.
New tank will be fitted on my week off in September - they are not expensive - around £90 on ebay. Remember to get a new fuel pump gasket (about £6). I've also got a new fuel filler hose - there are a few on ebay for £8 now.

For some reason my car doesn't have rear arch liners and I can't find any for love nor money
