Hi all, I seem to be having problems with the car again!!! It seems to jump out of overdrive and the o/d light comes on at random times. I’m can click the button and sometimes it goes out and o/drive comes back in. But sometimes I cannot click the button and it will not cancel the overdrive. Then it does it 2 seconds later or 5 mins later. Now is it the dreaded wiring loom problem or can it be something else? If it is the wiring loom I have a donor car for the loom but can someone tell me which bit I need please? From where to where and how easy is it to get out, is it an engine out job? If I get the wiring loom out what is the best way to repair the loom i.e. which outer covering should I put on? Thanks in advance Michael

Hi Michael Getting the loom out the car isnt the easist of jobs, its part of the engine loom and requires part of the engine stripping down to get it out what color is your auto oil? have you tried cleaning the MAF sensor?

Hi Matt, the auto oil is still red in colour. I have cleaned the MAF very recently. The donor car has started to be stripped. Thanks Michael

Sounds like dodgy wire to the green button? Intermittent? Going on and off by itself....
