| On switching on it's supposed to start with 'E' by default ('E' lit, if you can see it [lit I mean]) What happens if you press a different button? Like 'E' or 'S' (?)

I wonder if you mean the * lamp is lighting-up on the dash? This means the outside temperature is below 4 degrees C. This lamp will turn to red and a wee 'bleep' will sound when the temperature goes below Zero C. Just a shot in the dark there!

hello guys thanks for the replies yes indeed at first i also tought it was starting up in winter mode, but on reading the manual it said that than it would skip the first gear and always start in second gear wisch isn,t as far as i can check the case it,s just that this stuppid light id alway,s on if pushed it several times hold it down for a couple of minnits but what evver try it won,t go out grrrrrrrrrrrrr perhap,s a big hammer sometime,s when i switch from E to S it goes out for a little while but than pops up again. and i dont know if theire is a relais or mabey a fuse controling this or mayby a sensor ?? i have know idea what to do to get it working as it should ...
