My Ultima Estate 2.3 has intermittent holding back feels like it is missing, put in new plugs. Any ideas would be appreciated Huh

try cleaning the maf sensor first,something like carb, brake cleaner or petrol
 
coil packs would be my next item to chane
 
also have a good look at the wiring loom to the injectors for missing cable insulatio

John, Be very careful cleaning the maf!! It is very sensitive. As Matt say's, wiring could be suspect/shorting etc. If you need any parts, I have the maf and coil packs available. Cheers Lee

Yes and as Lee said don't poke anything down the MAF sensor bit, only spray the tiny wires with carb etc. cleaner.
 
At risk of sounding like a scratched record again, Grin this symptom does sound similar to what I had, plus, what seemed like auto tranmission was clapped out (couldn't hold O/D), it was only the MAF.
