Wouldn't be the 1st time - used to get 2 Scorps at the Kent meet with just 1 digit difference.

Rich. Anything with OO as the last two digits was Essex registered, the dealers get blocks of numbers issued to them, therefore it is not unusual to have several consecutive numbers issued to one type of vehicle. GOZZ.

| As Gozz says they were issued to County,Borough and City Councils. A list is HERE. Check out both the Town and Area lists. The latter shows the area whereas the first one shows which DVLA office held the records. Example BP was a West Sussex plate BUT subsequently the records were held at Portsmouth. OO was Essex later held at Chelmsford.

S707ROO is my car! I can confirm that it is alive and well, having recently passed its MOT. Never found out who caused the damage on the front wing, think it must have been a Friday night reveller. Interesting to read about the consecutive number plates, I did actually see S706ROO (a blue facelift Scorpio) parked up in Gillingham, Kent a few years ago.

Just to run with the theme of number plates.... My Ultima Cosworth, which now lives with me up in Scotland, is S704ROO - guess that was a busy dealer down there

Decided to look up on the web and discovered: S704ROO: Silver : Mantash in Scotland S705ROO: Maroon : Budgie S706ROO: Blue : was seen in Kent S707ROO: Red : mine, now in Peterborough S708ROO: does not exist (written off?) S709ROO: Silver : anyone claim this one? S710ROO: Purple : anyone claim this one? S711ROO: does not exist (written off?) S712ROO: Blue : anyone claim this one? S713ROO: Blue : anyone claim this one? S714ROO: Red : Sad Eyes S715ROO: Red : anyone claim this one? All are 24V Ultimas registered 1st August 1998, so presumably facelifts?

Mine used to live just off Park Road in town, but have now stored it in a garage in Sugar Way for a few months. I do plan to attend a Kent meet soon!
