Probably not! Not everything you see on TV is true.

The number plate on the car he was driving was on the car lifted into the air. Knowing Clarkson he smashed a perfectly good running car.

Look at the back, its not a facelift thats dropped, and after looking at the video again, he is driving a facelift, the back gives it away . I have just thought, more than likely they dropped more than one, first take was no good etc.

Just need a good whole shell from a breakers, quick blow over respray, put decent looking wheels on, tidy it up, who's to know. That's how it's done in this film and TV game. I did notice how the front end was totally stoved in flat right back to the front pillars, but no sign of the engine in the passenger compartment? I think it would've been quite noticable, it didn't simply vanish. Can only conclude there weren't none in there then!

PS: I am reminded about a documentary years ago about he making of The Dukes Of Hazard, they got through something like a dozen Dodge Charger's per series doing their "stunts". Obviously they were scrap bangers (since they were totally smashed up in the stunt) just tarted up to look good on film.

It brings tears to the eyes! But definately a pre-facelift car that was dropped.

I think hes just prooved how safe a scorpio is, look at the front doors and a pillar, they havent moved, you could open the doors by the look of it, didnt even distort the roof of brake the glass If the engine was it it may of moved the bulkhead but i doubt it would be much

Yeah but no but, the whole front is flat equally right across back to the bulkhead, if an engine was in it and "didn't move by much", then there should be a big lump sticking out the front But there isn't, and I couldn't see any signs of it in the passenger compartment
