Midlands Meet has succumed to the HSE

Right peeps, I spoke to Andrew yesterday (wed) face to face re: the meet venue, unfortunately it's all over/ finished/ kaput.
The Health and Safety brigade have stuck their oar in and told Pearl Assurance it is (was) unsafe to hold such a large meeting on their land / property without certain criteria being implemented.
1) Marshall's ( minimum of 6 required) someone might get run over
2) Fence off the large man made water feature (someone may fall in and drown)
3) Land owner must have a separate public liability insurance for such meetings. (someone may sue someone)
Sooooooooooo in essence, Pearl have said No More.
Andrew said he wont be organising anything else in the foreseeable future.
Just thought I'd let you know what the situation is now.

Thanks for posting that rodders. As an aside to this I was thinking we could still meet up for scorp/ whatever we drive meets at a pub as we did when we hit the barn after the royal oak finished.
Just looking to get interest from here, but I'd assume sunday would be better then weekday evening for you all and a decent place to get food would help too.
I suggest sorting a monthly sunday or bi monthly and hope we can get a few together, i'll also get a few mates to bring their classics along for a bit of interest.
Does this interest any of you?

I think a Sunday meet would be better for most people, weekday evenings are a bit of a pain due to knocking off work and joining the rush hour traffic mayhem (50 miles of it for me  )
Anywhere that does a decent carvery and a pint of the best would suffice, Oh and a buxom barmaid would be a plus in my book

It WAS at the Pearl Assurance head office at Wythal Gazza.
I/we will probably know more about a new meeting place later this week, a couple of the lads off Scorpio Unleashed done a reccy last night at a watering hole (pub) called rose and crown at portway (J3 M42)
We'll then look to arrange a Sunday get together shortly.

Yea seen all the TV crew there this afternoon wondered what it was all about then on news to night . . .
Next door checked her account and the last time she was in there was March and had lost £37 last week so she cancelled card
