Build plate?

Either I am short sigheted, or my scorpio appears to be missing the build plate.
The vin plate is there and intact, but the build plate is not where I would expect it on the slam pannel.
I would like to know the colour of the car!! is the plate anywhere else?
It's 1995 and in Dark metalic green.
