Ford Crown Victoria on E-Bay

I Just got a second chance offer on a 2001 USA Ford Crown Victoria, 4.6lt., 22K on the clock, last bid : £3500. If your struggling to picture one, think of your standard US Police cruiser or yellow taxi. A real bargain, I got an Insurance quote, only £295 fully comp, £300 excess. My heart would love to get it but my financial ( and sensible ) head says no. The car's in Preston, if anyone's interested I've got his E-Mail.

A narrow escape, a 2001 model yet it didn't even have a CD player let alone a multi changer. Must have been the base model.

wow you should of got it!!! The Crown Victoria's are great cars. Get one that’s a non police spec version and it has a different ratio differential in it but the same engine. Your looking at somewhere in the region of 16MPG city and between 24-28MPG Highway depending on how heavy your right foot is The cops in the US have long been seeking a replacement for the Crown Vic. They've tried mainly the Chevrolet Impala and the new Dodge Charger, but non can match the strength of the Vic. The Vic is the very last true American sedan offering Body-on-Frame construction, V8 power and Rear Wheel Drive. For anyone that's interested in the Crown Victoria's have a look at the Mercury Grand Marquis and the Lincoln Town car. Both built on the same platform and both very nice cars. Danny_R

matt, i think the average yank engine size is around the 3ltr mark these days. danny, they still make the impala? i used to love them, they've been going decades. i used to have a caprice classic, but it was a 2 door coupe version, much sleeker, i remember it had an amazing rear windscreen that had 'corners'.....
