2.3 Facelift Cosworth?

Hey all,
I just had a customer here at work rant on about his scorpio, seemed like a nice guy, wasnt one of us, but he was trying to convince me that his car was a 2.3 facelift, one of the very last but his had the cosworth head fitted? lol i just have to ask, is this rubbish? lol
Think i sold him a 300mm brake upgrade, expect pictures to follow if this does happen!

no, in a way. 
cosworth help develop the 2.3 engine. i've got a scan of the autocar data somewhere.
i'll post it to the msn site later for everyone to have a read.

I remember someone sold their 2.3 on eBay a few months back and used the word 'Cosworth' in the listing 
It is true, Cosworth redesigned parts of the lump and added the secondary balancers I believe  .

Well the guy was trying to convince me his was a 2.3 16v but it had "the cosworth head fitted" which seems like an imposibility.. ? and isnt the 2.3 just a bored out version of the 2.0 16v like mine?

the 2.3 just has a taller block then the 2.0, its not bored out

It was based on the Lanchester with counterbalance shafts mounted in the sump as oposed to the original design, that is why it runs so smoothly, there is a topic somewhere on this site... very interesting
