Well as some of you wil know I have not been working for a considerable time now due to a degenerative back dissorder. I decided a while back that if this continued I would lose my mind so I decided to start looking for work that I could manage. This is where it gets a bit spooky, There is a closed down petrol station less than half a mile from my house and I have said to the mrs many times that it would make an excellent place for one of those hand car washes I even dabbled with the idea of doing it myself. She told me not to be daft. Anyway I was driving past it the other day and there was a large sign saying car washing and valetting opening soon. The next day I called in and had a lengthy chat with the guy, he seems pretty okay to me because he gave me a job there and then. He already has a mobile valetting business with a number of vans and this will be an addition to an established company. Before I called in I did of course make sure my car was absolutely immaculate and shineyer than something that shines alot He even said that is one clean car. What a result

Its on the a167 between durham and darlington. as for the coffee and paper there is talk of part of the garage being leased to Subway (the sandwich people) so eventually that will be a yes

Kind of thought that it was out of your way abit I've not started yet but to be honest the hand car wash side of it will be a quick drive through affair but the valetting will obviously take a bit longer and I do think that your idea would work and I will mention it eventualy. One thing That did get me excited was when he showed me the indoor bays that will be for valetting there was gear all over, okay it was before opening and everything was still being set up but I mentioned that I like things to be in order and that I like a tidy work place. He replied with "if your spending most of your time in here you can set it up to suit yourself". Oh boy I cant wait
