The removal of the rear view mirror (43 636 0) refers to the removal of the overhead console(Operation no 43 813 0). Anybody know where I can this? i.e how do you remove the overhead console? Thanks.

Thank you for that. Another question. How do you thread the wire through into the upper console? There is hardly any room at the upper trim to pass it through. Any there is no way you can get the multiplug through there! Also it possible to mix the 2 purple coloured wires up?

hi you could try removing the inner brackets on the sun visors, should give you a bit of play to fit the plug through.and if you still have the plugs on you shouldn't mix them up or if your cutting them mark them before cutting .mirror wiring diagrams here. http://www.carsoft.ru/avtorepair/sierra/mirror.pdf .HTH

It is possible to get the plug past the headlining without removing it. It just needs a little care and a patience. I did it on mine when I wrote the article about repairing the mirror. See HERE for instructions on how to remove it etc..
