Hi,does anybody know where the trip switch for power window?have N reg ultima and today the front windows wont go back up have looked in owners manuel and it says in fuse layout that the switch i need is an auxilary fuse outside main fuse boxes and is located in drivers door,have had this apart and i can't see a brown relay antwhere,i hope someone can help else i'll be sleeping in the car tonight,Regards Damon

just looked in the door and i cant see it try disconnecting battery wait 30mins then reconnect see if that does it HTH

Zaketh. It has been said previously that the 'brown' relay in the door doesn't exist!!!. Beyond that I can't help but there seem to be many 'oddities' like this with the Scorpio especially as far as electrics are concerned.

If they are similar to the Granada and many of the parts used are the same, then the trip is in the motor itself. It's a themal trip which should reset itself once the motor cools down.

Sometimes though they open with the heat and never close again, you have a deceased motor unless you want to start delving into the field windings Wink. Unusual though in these sort of motors, wouldn't be working long enough to get hot in normal use, thermal cut-outs are there to stop the thing melting in extreme cases.  
 
Dead windings in 2 motors at a time is unlikely though...You haven't overrun the circuit by running 2 windows at the same time?
 
If it still won't work then you could start checking for voltage and bad looms/earths...
