OK, this is only a minor problem compared to others on here but in the last couple of days my rear view mirror keeps working loose. I have the auto tinting mirror and it seems to slide onto a metal mounting which is fixed to the windscreen. I keep sliding it up until it clicks solidly into place but as soon as I start to drive anywhere it just works loose again. I can't see anything broken, so am puzzled Any advice appreciated

Nothing really broken, mine does pretty much the same though takes longer to work its way loose. The angle it connects at and the weight of the mirror should keep it in place however as with alot of things on this car it's not quite as good as it should be. You could try glueing it in place however this can lead to problems further down the line if the unit fails/needs replacing. Might just have to live with it.

Try 'adjusting' the spring clip tension inside the mirror mount.

You mean just closing the clip a little more?

Or you could put a couple of layers of insulating tape on to bulk it out a little Bruce.
