I have just bought some new "crystal" lenses on Ebay - instead of the old yellow side repeaters. Do any of you know how to change the lenses? How to release them?

They prise out with a small flat bladed screwdriver normally, not certain about the Scorpio ones though Regards, Bruce.

Changed mine to the crystal ones and on a dark car they look the nuts. Just use a flat dinner knife. One side pops out and the other side clips in (Look at the ones you're putting on and you'll see what i mean). If one side doesn't pop out then switch to the other side. Guy.

As the others have said, they should prise out (look at the new ones for a clue) although they're probably stuck a bit with dirt n crap. Also, as the others say, the crystal ones do look the nuts

Not to spoil the party but I still prefer my 'boring stock' look motor Only mods I'm toying with on mine are a better hifi system and a supercharged V12 Regards, Bruce. p.s: Your car looks lovely Paul, almost identical to mine (when it's clean )

| I'm not keen on too many mods myself and, as you might notice, the repeaters are the only thing non-standard on mine. But I think they're subtle and actually match the front indicators nicely. Got a pic of yours Bruce?

must admit, love the clear lenses - even better if you get the silvered bulbs and loose the 'egg' look. trouble is Pam wont let me touch the car!!!!!!! Are they the 'standard' ford ones, or a different fitting?? May get away with changing them and she wouldnt notice

It's almost identical to yours Paul, except mine is a 2.3 and has the Raven velour trim (I'm not complaining ). Build date June 1996 I believe. 2 shots of the (clean) Autoglymed car and the last is of the first time I machine polished it last summer, doesn't look like that at the moment I'm afraid, a couple of spots of grey primer waiting for a dry day to top coat In an ideal world I'd get it resprayed, it looks nice when polished but the bonnet lacquer is starting to skin and a few other things but it looks nice overall. Regards, Bruce
