My old Scorp had front mud flaps that used to touch speed humps. The ride height seemed okay & the shocks & springs were fine. It seemed that the mud flaps were just too long, so I ended up taking them off.....problem solved Also, are they properly attached ? They can slip out of the clamps, especially if the've started hitting bumps, which will loosen them more & start to rip them

...and the new type clips you get from the Ford dealer after the old torx head ones have rusted/fallen off are useless and start falling off within a fortnight...magic
