Flooding or not firing on take off

Hi all, dogma here, if you have read my recent posts you will hope fully understand what im talking about.  Iv checked the cat, all seems ok, put a low milage set of injectors in with a much better idle and general running, new plugs and leads, but, after fitting the jet i found that the problem which i can only describe as either flooding or no firing on all cylinders is still occuring but only after sloing down to a near stop or actually pulling away from stop, the revs go up and stop, go up a bit more and stop, then it suddenly clears and woosh, off it goes.  Does anyone know what can cause this, iv got a new dizzy and rota arm on its way to me also, any ideas would be great
many thanks

Didn't someone suggest replacing the fuel rail pressure regulator (FRPR) in one of your other posts... Undecided

Have you considered this ?..........as alot of the problems you have maybe due to a fuel delivery problem.

A new frpr may sort it, but another consideration might be the fuel pump  Undecided

Anyway...hope you get it sorted  Wink

Are you sure of the price ?.....I only paid £42 for a new 2.3 fpr from FMD  Smiley

But as you say....it probably is worth getting it scanned, as trying to solve the problem by replacing various parts & finding that the problem still exists can be a waste of time & money  Wink

My thought exactly mate, i got that price fromthe ford discount site, i thought it was a bit much, but even what you paid is a lot really when you look at what the FPR actuall is, the smaller things are the more expensive lol

Sorry Jim...It's probably okay  Wink

It's only the 2.0 & 2.3 fpr that is useless without the return pipe still attached, as it's heat shrunk on to prevent petrol spillage...(I've seen them for sale on Ebay with the pipe cut off  Roll Eyes).

The 2.9 (I think) is different, so you should be okay  Wink

Hope it sorts your problems  Smiley

Hi mate, i think the FPR for the 2.9 has a fuel line feed tube and a vacum feed tube which it still has, not had a chance yet to fit it but hopefully will make a difference, will report back lol

Hi all, well fitting the new FPR didnt go to plan, basicall i cant get the old one off, its stuck fast and due to it being the fuel line and not looking very strong i decided to leave it, if anyone has any idea on how to remove without causing any damage, id love to hear from you
many thanks
