Hi Whilst trying to trouble shoot to highlight a problem i have I noticed that both wires attatched to a multiplug had come adrift, the multiplug is in a green socket that is situated about 50 mil below the power steering pulley and is green in colour, judging by the condition of the severed wires it looks as though it has been like this for some time I would be very grateful if you could assist as to its function and importance, the engine is a 2.3 petro;ith auto transmission. Regards Kenboy

hi kb could be the PS pressure switch. does you revs rise very slightly at idle when you turn the steering wheel? if not, then that's what it is.

hi there it raises the revs slightly as you turn the wheel to help prevent the engine stalling. mine was the same when i got it.
