i have a diy nightmare

i have a 2l 8v scorpio and the last owner has done a good one he replace the manifold and have found out he has gone in the the oil well in the engine so i have a oil leak from the manifold and so the smell is coming in the car
how someone could have done this i don't know if anyone would like to look at a total fools work you are welcome to help
any ideas

Are you saying you have an oil leak coming from the manifold?? that shouldnt happen unless the head is cracked or the gasket has gone?
Which manifold is it?

One of the fixing studs punctured an oilway? 
Oil coming from the manifold? How much? Is it just a gasket seeping?

the manifold is leaking oil someone has drilled throw the head in to a oilway the bolts are not manifold bolts i have tried to clean it up but not share have much damage has bin done is there a welding compound that will not damage the head when i get the time to get if off as i think it will be a tricky job
