It's official.....I've finally cured that intermitant pinking problem that, to be honest, has had me literally screaming with frustration 
The Scorp's been running now for three days without so much as a slight rattle 
I couldn't post it straight away, as I had to be sure it had definately gone for good 
So now the problem is solved I suppose you all want to know the culprit that was causing me so much grief... 
Not gonna tell you...you'll have to guess 
A clue......no one suggested it (as far as I can remember) 
I can't give any prizes for the right guess, but whoever guesses right is entitled to have a big smug grin as big as the one on my face

Yes I know I've cured it for 3 days before, but this time around, the car, from cold, was running perfectly, whereas before it always seemed sluggish until it had warmed up
I can't believe it was the about the only sensor I didn't replace...I honestly didn't think that would be a cause, & it wasn't suggested that it could have been, as far as I can remember.
But this time I'm certain, because even with the car hot & ticking over for a while, there isn't even the slightest hint of a crack when accelerating

Yea cheers Pete, it's fine...been pink free for over a week
Still can't believe it was a dodgy cam sensor & that I didn't try changing it before ....
Oh well, I suppose that during the 'pink period', I learned alot more about the car than I would have if it hadn't pinked
