hi there, my reliable old scorp has just been writen off by an AR*****E hit and run driver while parked up on the road causing 3k worth of damage. anyone know roughly the list price of the car as i am assure i am going to get fleeced by my insurance company 1996 ford scorpio 4 dr auto 2.3 16v ultima 103k miles 6 months mot good condition many thanks Glevum

I have the same model, written off last September. I was given £1600 and bought it back for 10% of value. Damage was rear quater panel, drivers side. Estimate was circa £2000 but I got it repaired for £250 (not perfect but quite adequate) at a local small body shop.

Unlucky mate, you aren't the first though Always the same story, it's an old car so not worth anything. Don't let them write it off, if you shout loud enough they tend to pay up.
