got it fired up this morning, sounds sweet as a nut even without an exhaust. as suggested it was the pats system. nothing that 2.5 hours in a dead cossie in a scrapyard removing the wiring loom and checking wires with a multi meter (and £50) didnt put right. just like to thank everybody for their advice and spare parts, and the wiring diagrams on this bloody good site. cheers pete.

its just a bare shell with an engine in it at the moment, a working engine now. got all the wires tidy, just a matter of putting it back together. i hope it will be pretty swift, and should be a lot lighter than a scorp.
