Faulty door control switch (drivers door)

I have a '97 Scorpio Estate. The other day without warning all the functions controlled through the drivers door switch stopped working (no window contol, mirror contol etc) No fuses seem to have gone and all the other door switches still operate their individual windows. Checked the switch in the door and can't find any disconnected connectors or water or mould in the connectors and no problems with the imbilical connector in the door hinge. Any ideas?

If the main connector is ok then it sounds like a fault with one of the modules inside the door (not familiar with these and the wiring diagrams seem to be offline so can't say for certain). But I'd be looking inside the door at the switch packs, modules etc. I also remember one member having a similar issue with a bad earth point inside the door somewhere.. Regards, Bruce.
