shatter detectors on estate

Read somewhere on here that the reason the alarm goes off in hot weather on my estate is that the resistor on the rear window shatter detectors needs to be changed to 20 ohm! OK so where do I look and is this info correct?

I’ve never heard of this & can’t see any need for it. As far as I know it’s a simple track on the rear & side rear windows that breaks the circuit if someone smashes the window. Have you checked for codes?

I think the 20 ohm resistor is suggested if there is a break in the track on a window to by-pass the broken track.
