Helpppp! NSR Abs sensor

Hey folks my 2.0 litre is in for an MOT retest having stood for 5 months whilst I gathered up some of the bits and saved up the dosh for welding etc. I took it in with the addition of an ABS light on and just had a call they reckon it needs a Passenger side rear ABS sensor and their usual contact does not have any available. Realise that you can't usually remove them in one piece but does anybody have one available? Geoff

Rear ones should come out fine as they don't go more than a fraction into the hub. TT

Geoff just as an afterthought, how far did you drive it to the MOT station? usually if they sit a while the abs light will stay on until you do a few miles, maybe dirt/rust? I've seen a few do that

2.3 miles But in fairness the warning light has been hit and miss. I now have the sensor that they have taken off my 2.0 litre and it is really shot, I think you could be right about the rust but it really needs a replacement.

Needed to bring this back up to the top, Royal Mail have eaten the sensor and cable that Stuart sent me so back to square one. Baz is going to look at the cable he has on his donor but won't be able to till later in the week so any body that has a cable handy would appreciate it so I can get the car sorted. TA

Hope your soldering is good as the cable is fully shielded to prevent noise on the lines. TT

Hmm not on the one that came off, it seems like a one piece item with about 4 ft of cable and a plug. Long time since I did any soldering so fingers crossed
