does anyone know if i can still buy new crown wheel and pinion for a 7.5'' diff?
tried tc harrisons with no joy

the 4.09 diff was fitted to the 2.0 8v
You would probably be cheaper looking for a scrap car rather than looking for a cheap diff but they are pretty thin on the ground.
The 2.0 16v is the more common one but they have the 4.27 diff

there was a company that bought all the old diffs & cwp from ford, they advertised in a magazine, i will have a look for the number for you.

i have a couple of those its the 4.09 that i can not find ,as you say i think i'll have to buy a whole car ,thing is i missed one one ebay for 233 pounds just before xmas!! hopefully one will come up soon.
