Have you priced parts for repair? would think you d get 2 doors easy enough and with a little work, you could fill the arch yourself then paint. Think of the satisfaction you'd get and you get to keep it .Just a thought.

I was thinking of fixing it myself but my son has all the know how, me being a pensioner and that. I decided to go away and buy another exactly the same year and same model, but without the dent.. I am looking for around £400 to help with the cost of my new one, the engine must be worth that along with selling the parts if you knew how to break it up. The car is in East London at present Regards Scammell

there's no way you're gonna get 400£ for a car with a dent. there are perfectly good Scorpios here and on ebay for around 300£ and people can't sell them. engines go for around 200£ in mint condition, so you haven't checked your market really you might achieve that price buy selling separate parts, but then it's easier to fix the dent

look on ebay, i'm pretty sure that you'll get doors that won't even need respraying and will match your current colour. they go for around 20-40£ each. it's no use to sell your car especially that you will lose money on it, and when buying another Scorpio you don't really know what it will be like whilst now you know what you have, what it's mechanical shape is etc. what you want to do is a gamble not worth taking.

Thank you Andrew, i am really looking at selling the car as a whole as i think if someone had the time to fix it they would be very happy with the car. I had to go and buy another one very quick after it happen as i needed transport, i was lucky to get one the same but with only 61,000 miles and fsh. So with this one now i really need to find it a home.. The car is being stored at my friends garage in Dalston, i was going to try spikes but i am open to offers on takers who want a fine example worth fixing rather than breaking... Regards Scammell
