Hi all Long one but best you know all the info. Right then here are the main facts on my car, i will go into more detail below. Ford Scorpio Ultima 24v Cosworth Saloon Moondust Silver 24,213 miles from new All original Full Ford service history Dealer plates Dealer sticker Dealer tax disc Original Ford Scorpio Floor Matts Amazing car As you all know the Scorpio is a fantastic car, the most underrated car ever in my opinion. My one is the Ultima model so has every thing needed, including, Full Black Raven Leather seats, they look like they have never been sat in, electric,10 way heated memory in front. Individual climate control for passenger and driver, Air Con, 6 Cd changer in boot, auto dimming rear view mirror, passenger side mirror dips automatically when in reverse so you don't scrape your Scorpio. Ash trays (don't think they have ever been used), being the 24v model it has traction control too. Im sure i will have missed some things but as you know these cars full fully loaded. It is finished in a lovley metallic Moondust Silver, that looks great on the Scorpio. The car was brought new by a Mr. Brierley of Maidstone, Kent, from Haynes Ford, Kent. and registered new on 05/081997. Sadly Mr. Brierley passed away and the car was then registered to Mrs. Brierley. Unfortunately the car was too big for her and she had to sell itin 2012. The car was sold to a fellow member of the Fordscorpio.co.uk. He had the car from 20/02/2013. In July he put the car up for sale due to him moving back in with his wife. I was the first to respond and one weekend we drove down to Kent from Birmingham to get the car. A long drive but well worth it. After we had a deal, we drove for a few miles and the car apart from the engine noise when below 1500rpm, was faultless, so quiet, and smooth. We pulled into a service stop and had a good look around. The cars unbelievably low mileage, was backed up by Full Ford Service History by Haynes Ford who the car was supplied by. Below is how the service book is stamped. 2500 miles 11/081998 4880 Miles 27/08/1999 7348 Miles 6/09/2000 Mileage not stated at 7/09/2001 11918 Miles 5/09/2002 13371 Miles 8/9/2003 14694 Miles 9/9/2004 16000 Miles 11/10/2005 17404 Miles 31/10/2006 18615 Miles 5/11/2007 19488 Miles 7/11/08 20782 Miles 13/11/2010 21787 Miles 10/11/2011 22732 Miles 8/11/2012 Sadly i don't think i will ever find one like this again. I believe it is the lowest mileage 24v Scorpio in the whole uk possibly even further, but ive been having a bit of a rough patch in life at the moment and it hurts me to see it not progressing and being taken to shows etc. It would be a crime to break it so i would idealy like it to go to someone who will restore her to full potential. when done it will be AMAZING!! Here is what i was told about engine by seller. ''The low oil pressure problem is not there all the time, sometimes it goes away completely, with no low pressure warning light coming on when at idle. its when the revs drop to below 1500 that you are likely to get the low pressure, but not always. I was going to drop the sump as my first point of action, to see if the oil pump pickup is partially obsucured in someway, it could of course be the oil pumps PRV that is partially stuck open, but the sump off would have been my first job. If the sump removal revealed nothing, then the front of the engine would be the next thing to come off. I would drive the car any distance myself, but I do have AA relay cover that would get me to where I intend to go, just in case! But worse case is that it will need bearings and possible timing chain and guides. The roof, bonnet and boot will require paint. Its had 2 new tyres recently, and the other 2 are ok for now. I drove the car last night to Brands Hatch, about a 6 mile round trip for me, and when the revs dropped below 1000 the red light was on, but no bottom end rumble, just top end rattle. When driving the red light stayed out'' I should just add that inside is immaculate seats are so soft and you can really tell difference between this and my dads 2.3 leather seats. Matt came round and we stripped the top end of the engine ready but sadly i wont be able to finish it. Roof will need wrapping or spraying i was just going to replace bonnet and boot lid but could spray if wanted. Going to be really hard to let go and maybe one day i will get it back but its best for me right now and the car to sell . PM me with questions i will try to email photos too. cant get them up on here for some reason. £650 ONO open to offers

A shame Daniel. I've been in your shoes. Having nice cars but wanting to get rid of one or two or perhaps just one, only to find no-one wants them. How many cars should one have? I Gave-Away my last Scorpio, in the hope the eejit that I gave it to would make something of it, he didn't! YES, gave it away! I should have kept it, because it only needed about £150 spent to make it a good car for many years. The person that I GAVE it to was on this site, so don't think you are able to trust anyone for their good. Even after giving the car away, I had any number of phone-calls and messages that I had GIVEN them a 'wrong-un', even though the car had been 'pre-MOT'd by a mate (remembering I'm very close to the trade) with only 'minor' problems, the person I GAVE the car to complained of a £400 bill, that the garage was quoting to fix the car! Sorry to hear of your troubles with the car you gave away but most of us are nothing like them. I admit money is always tight with me but if you want thing desperately then it is worth waiting for and the scorpio is well worth waiting for. The comfort is the best as is the ride and it is one of the only cars that I can get in and out and doesn't hurt my poor old back and the aircon does not make the arthritus on my neck play up. For me the scorpio is the best and it is the same for many on here.

I find it hard to get rid of cars, I have four at the moment, Granada scorpio, Scorpio cosworth, Vw Eos and an astra van.My son uses the Granada, so only three at the house + his Belmount, which is sorn. A lot of people look at cars as a tool, a means to get from a to b, but to me they are more than that. As for some one moaning about a car they were GIVEN, that take the biscuit .
